Hi, my name is Heather Dietz Harper and my husband is Scott Harper "The Locksmith". He has recently been released from the hospital after 8 days. We almost lost him during the hospital ordeal. He has been Diagnosed with Demyelinating Disease, 4-5 Herniated disc in neck pressing in toward spinal cord, which if neck is turned wrong can cause traumatic muscle spasms down right side, tremors, and drawing up of extremities. He has had 4 MRI's, Spinal Tap, multitude of blood test, etc to try to find a cause, as it is still unknown. He has been battling Psoriatic Arthritis for several years now. He has had an EMG test which actually added carpal tunnel to the mix. We currently do not have insurance and Dr's have stated this may make him permanently disabled. The money raised will help us keep going through physical therapy, testing and the holidays. We are getting assistance for food. Scott was our only source of income. He went into the hospital on 9-26-22 and discharged 10-4-22. He has not worked since, other than occasional job here and there, due to the stress of trying to work while trying to avoid causing an episode has made it impossible for him to work right now. Family and friends have been so gracious with small gifts here and there, several have asked us to set up go fund me page so others may help. The financial "hand-up" means recovery without worrying about basic needs during this difficult time. It means focusing on everything that matters now without the burden of a house payment, car payment, finding money for bills allowing us to focus on getting him better as quickly as possible. We have reached out to all assistance programs we can find and are in the lengthy process now we have been denied a lot of assistance due to non related to COVID. It is a long road ahead and this money will make it a little less bumpy. Continued prayers are greatly appreciated and very needed. Thank you for your love, your time and consideration. No amount is too small, and when received usually ends up in grateful tears. Our hope is to get him back to himself so that he may enjoy time with family, friends, grandsons, and enjoying his love for the woods, playing pool, and enjoying social settings, as he is unable to do any of them at this time without difficulty if he tries! Thank you!
