My husband has always been a tough truck driver, the kind of person who loved to play golf and go camping whenever he could. He’s worked hard his whole life, but over the past few years, everything has changed. He’s battled kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and now, the most difficult of all—lung cancer. The treatments have taken a huge toll on his body, and he’s lost 60 pounds. He’s gone from being active and strong to a shell of himself, and it breaks my heart to see him struggle every day.
Because of his health, he can’t work anymore. I’m doing my best to keep us afloat, but with only my income, it’s impossible to cover everything. While I’ve managed to keep up with our rent so far, the medical bills and cost of his medications are piling up faster than I can handle. I’m scared of losing everything—our home, our stability—because I just can’t afford to pay for it all on my own.
I’m reaching out to our community for help. Any support you can give will go directly toward medical bills, medications, and keeping a roof over our heads. Your kindness would mean the world to us during this overwhelming time. Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can offer.
