Help My Husband And I Remain Together Legally!
Spende geschützt
First and foremost, thank you for reading this.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you for considering to help, in whichever way that is aligning with your heart. We really appreciate it.
Many could say that Montreal is a beautiful melting pot, so to speak, and a very artistic city. It's filled with many different kinds of people with varying backgrounds and cultures. Luckily this is the case, because it was a perfect place for me and my husband, Benjamin, to meet. I am originally from the US, and him the UK, and our love of dancing divinely brought us to the same dance company here in Montreal. I've met the love of my life here, and there is no question that our meeting wasn't written in the stars.
We decided to start the process of getting permanent residency in Canada, as that is the only secure way for us to legally remain together if one of us loses our job or if anything else happens. Being temporary workers on closed work permits from different countries, our status of remaining in the country is like the work permit, temporary. But as we move through this process, we are realizing it is more expensive than we had anticipated.
In writing this campaign, we are vulnerably and honestly saying we need help. During such uncertain and unsettling times as its been this year, it seems that now more than ever we are needing to secure our future lives together. A permanent place to call home right now is none existent for us because we're both from different countries. Sometimes it takes a village to make things happen, and we are needing our tribe.
All of the funds raised will go directly towards the government fees, lawyer fees and taxes that remain in our process for permanent residency. We are very sympathetic to the current world situation and given that fact, we are DEEPLY GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE for any contribution offered by you.
No couple should ever have to be separated on grounds of naturalization.
We are grateful for your time in reading this :)) and thank you again.
