Help My Grandpa & Dad Recover from a Devastating Tree Accident

Hi, my name is Vanessa, and I’m reaching out for support to help my grandpa and dad after a terrifying accident that could have been so much worse.

In the early hours of March 16, 2025, a massive pine tree from my grandfather’s backyard came crashing down onto the RV where my dad was sleeping, completely crushing it and extending into the neighbor’s yard. It’s truly a miracle that my dad survived—especially since the tree landed right where he sleeps. Thankfully, my brother Nathaniel, who lives with my grandpa, was able to act fast and dig my dad out of the wreckage.

Unfortunately, my grandfather’s homeowners insurance had lapsed, meaning there’s no financial assistance to cover the extensive costs of removing the tree, making necessary repairs, and possibly replacing my dad’s RV—his home. My grandpa is a retired railroad worker living on a fixed income, and these unexpected expenses are overwhelming.
