Today, my grandmother, Pauline Johnson’s life changed in an instant when her house caught fire. She worked so hard for that home, and seeing it destroyed has been heartbreaking for our whole family. What makes it even harder is that she doesn’t have insurance to cover the loss, so rebuilding feels almost impossible right now. I’m deeply hurt for her, knowing how much she put into making that house a home, and how much she’s lost in just one day.

We’re raising funds to help my grandmother start to rebuild her house and get the essentials she needs to feel safe and comfortable again. She’s elderly and has health complications, so I have to keep a close watch on her every day. This disaster has made things even more difficult for her, and I want to do everything I can to help her recover and feel supported.
