Hello! I am Rachel Geyer, Nanette Fiaschetti's granddaughter. I am trying to get as much help as I can for her, here is her story.
Nanette is from Liverpool New York and is inspirational, hilarious, an amazing cook, and a joy to be around. Everyone who's met her instantly falls in love with her kindness. She also has a heart for animals and does everything she can to support them such as sharing posts on her Facebook to spread awareness about missing pets. She only worries for others and not herself, it's about time that we return the favor of everything she's done for our family. Her and my uncle, Matthew Fiaschetti have already been struggling financially as it is ever since her husband and his father Ron Fiaschetti passed away back in 2016. Nan took it upon herself to take on a job to support him and her even though she already has had health issues and is the age of 68. My uncle has epilepsy which took a huge toll on the family for a few years but luckily he had brain surgery and he hasn't had a seizure since. She was always at the hospital and took time off from work to be there for him during that difficult time.
Nan recently found out that she has type two lung cancer and had to spend a whole week in the hospital to get tests. She also found out that she has a unheard of cancerous tumor in a blood vessel attached to her heart, I believe it is about seven centimeters long and three centimeters wide. She will even be featured in a medical journal since it's so rare and nobody's ever seen it before. Nan was a smoker for years but she has now since quit, the process hasn't been easy though. She still continues to fight for our family every single day and does not rest. She is a fighter!
I am making this GoFundMe to surprise her when she sees it and to get the money that she needs for medical expenses such as chemotherapy. I also want to surprise her with a trip to Disneyworld eventually since she's never gone before but her health is top priority first. I am also making this to help the rest of my family such as my Mom (Nan's daughter) and my Dad since this situations been extremely hard on them too. Thank you so much for reading this and all the help will be appreciated to help my grandma!
