Hi, My name is Maritza. I am doing this fundraising for my Grandmother Maria Piedra.

She lives in Zacatecas, Mexico. She just turned 92 years old in June 6. My mother and father went to Mexico for the whole month of June to visit her and celebrated her 92 years. My grandmother really wanted to come to Colorado to visit us, the grandchildren. She got really sick after two weeks. We had her in the hospital for 15 days, finally the doctors told my mother and me that we need to move her into hospice because she is in the last stage of her life. We took my grandmother into hospice at home. It has been extremely hard during this process of seeing her dying. We are waiting for God's will now. When she goes away, we want to take her to Mexico for her final memorial. The first picture was taken on June 6, on my Grandmother's birthday. She is the one in the middle, my mother is on the left on blue, and my aunt in on the right on yellow. My mother, Maria, and aunt Eva are the only living daughters out of 3 daughters. Most of our family is in Mexico, My aunt Eva, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers, nephews, and nieces. We want our family members in Mexico to be able to say Good bye to her. The only family she currently has here in Colorado is Maria, daughter, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Even though, it is very painful going through this process, we are blessed to be able to have my grandmother here with us in her last few days of life.
