Hello, my name is Manuel, and I am writing to you with my heart in my hands to ask for support after the recent earthquake in Venezuela, which caused significant damage to the home where my grandmother and aunt live.

Thankfully, they are physically safe, but the situation in their home is now very difficult. The earthquake left cracks in the walls, damaged windows, plumbing issues, and doors that no longer close or lock properly. At this time, the house no longer provides them with the peace of mind and security they once had.

That home has always been a refuge for many, including myself; it is the place where she raised her children and grandchildren, and where she welcomed many people in times of need. It is where they have lived through hard work and built their entire lives. Seeing how it was left after the earthquake has been very painful for our entire family, because now even basic things, like feeling safe in their own home have become a constant concern.

Unfortunately, the cost of repairs is more than we can afford on our own, which is why we are asking for help. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will be used directly to repair the walls, fix or replace damaged windows and doors, address the plumbing issues, and make the home safe again. If we are able to raise more than needed, the extra funds will go toward any additional work required to fully secure the house.

Hola, me llamo Manuel y les escribo con el corazón en la mano para pedir apoyo después del reciente terremoto en Venezuela, que causó daños importantes en la casa donde viven mi abuela y mi tía.

Por suerte, ellas están bien físicamente, pero la situación en su hogar es muy difícil ahora. El terremoto dejó grietas en las paredes, ventanas dañadas, problemas de plomería y puertas que ya no cierran ni aseguran bien. En este momento, la casa ya no les da la tranquilidad ni la seguridad que antes tenían.

Esa casa siempre ha sido refugio de muchos, incluyéndome a mí; el hogar donde crió a sus hijos y nietos, y donde le dio hospedaje a muchas personas cuando lo necesitaban. Es el lugar donde han vivido con esfuerzo y han construido toda su vida. Ver cómo quedó después del terremoto ha sido muy doloroso para toda la familia, porque ahora incluso cosas básicas, como sentirse seguras dentro de su propio hogar, se han vuelto una preocupación constante.

Lamentablemente, el costo de las reparaciones es más de lo que podemos cubrir solos, por eso estamos pidiendo ayuda.

Cada aporte, sin importar el monto, se usará directamente para reparar las paredes, arreglar o cambiar las ventanas y puertas dañadas, solucionar la plomería y dejar la casa en condiciones seguras otra vez. Si logramos reunir más de lo necesario, el dinero se usará en otros trabajos que hagan falta para asegurar completamente la vivienda.
