Hi there! My name is Katie and I'm raising money to help support my grandmother after she lost her home of 50+ years in the Palisades fires.

My grandmother moved to the Pacific Palisades in the 1970s and has lived in the same house ever since. She worked as a paralegal in the area until retirement, and since then, she's thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her huge garden and taking classes at the local community college. She's a huge animal lover, and if you live in the Palisades, you've most likely seen her in the mornings taking one of her rescue or foster dogs on a walk to the bluffs and greeting all the local dogs by name. Her house means everything to her - not just as a home for herself, but she's always imagined it as a place for future generations to live.

Unfortunately, everything was lost in the Palisades fire - she was only able to escape with a handful of clothes and her grandfather's photo album. Luckily, she and her pets got out safely, but are undeniably shaken and grieving. Rebuilding in the Palisades is not cheap by any means, and for decades she'd been relying on low taxes on an old house (now gone). This fund will go towards uncovered expenses for her home, and helping with any legal issues we may run into along the way.
