Yesterday afternoon, my grandma’s house caught on fire, and she lost about 90% of everything she owns. It’s been a heartbreaking experience for our family, especially with the holidays so close. My grandma and my uncles are now facing the challenge of starting over with almost nothing, and it’s hard to put into words how much they’ve lost in such a short time.

The money raised here will go directly toward helping my grandma and uncles get back on their feet. We’re hoping to support them with new clothes, find a new place to live, and provide the essentials they need to begin rebuilding their lives. There are so many things that can’t be replaced—personal and meaningful items that hold memories—but we’re grateful that everyone made it out safely. Having them with us is what matters most.

For anyone who knows my grandma, you know she’s the kind of person who would help anyone, always praying for others and giving even when she doesn’t have much herself. I know it’s around the holidays and times are tough for everyone, but anything you can give in this situation will help. We’ll have to find new housing and replace the things she needs.
