Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my beloved grandmother, who was one of the many innocent victims of the horrific terrorist attack that struck Mondomo, Cauca. On the night of April 21st, illegal armed groups launched a brutal drone attack on the peaceful neighborhood of Mondomo, leaving devastation in their wake. My grandma’s home — the place where she lived, built memories, and felt safe — was completely destroyed. By a miracle, she survived. Although the Governor and Mayor have promised assistance, unfortunately, no tangible help has arrived yet, and families like my grandma’s have been left to fend for themselves. She lost everything. Her house, her belongings, her sense of stability — all wiped away in a matter of moments. My grandmother is a humble, hardworking woman who never asked for anything, but today she needs us. This fundraiser is to help her start rebuilding her life — to put a roof over her head again, to buy essential items, and to help her regain a small piece of the security that was stolen from her.
