Help my Grandma get cancer treatment
Donation protected

This is my Grandma, Comfort Nwafor. She, like the rest of my family on my dad's side, lives in Lagos Nigeria. She has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. As you can see from these photos, she has lost a lot of weight and vitality as she's been battling it. The problem lies in the fact that unlike in America, where you can be treated by a doctor, (albeit with the knowledge of a large bill heading your way), in Nigeria, a doctor will not treat you at all unless you have money up front. My family does not have the means to cover the costs. My dad's initial idea was to move her to Europe or America for treatment instead. But not only is this costly, but pandemic restrictions and the global rise of the current variant of this virus make it incredibly difficult and dangerous.
My hope here is to raise enough to get her seen and treated by a good doctor in Lagos. She is only 66 years old; and it is a sad truth of her, my father's, and my own life that I have yet to even meet her in person. I can't lose her yet...
Anything helps. Please help me give my last grandparent a fighting chance to beat this.
