Hi everyone, my name is Cherokee, and I’m reaching out because my family is in a difficult situation. My grandmother has dementia, and as her condition has progressed, she now requires much more care and supervision than she did before. Our current home is simply too small for all of us. We do everything we can to make it work, but caring for someone with dementia in a crowded space is becoming increasingly difficult.
We want to move into a larger home where she can be more comfortable, have a safer environment, and where our family has enough room to care for her properly. Like many families, we’re doing our best while balancing everyday bills and the rising cost of housing. Even though we’re working hard, saving enough for a larger home has been overwhelming. That’s why we’re asking for help.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward a larger home with enough space for our family and my grandmother’s care, moving expenses, deposits and other costs associated with relocating, and creating a safer, more accessible environment for her as her needs continue to change. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing our fundraiser with friends and family would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness, support, or prayers you can offer during this time. Every bit of help brings us one step closer to giving my grandmother the comfort, dignity, and care she deserves.
