Help My Grandma Fight Stage 4 Cancer And Keep Her Home

Hi, my name is Taylor and I’m fundraising for my grandma — the woman who raised me and has been my mom in every way that matters.

She’s 71 and currently battling stage 4 lymphoma. A few years ago, she also survived brain surgery for a tumor and aneurysm. She’s been through so much, and yet now she’s facing not only a life-threatening illness, but a financial crisis no one should have to endure while fighting cancer.

She moved to Cyprus eight years ago with her husband, 10 cats, and 5 dogs — all of which she rescued from the streets. Many of them were sick, abandoned, or injured, and she took them in, nursed them back to health, and gave them a safe and loving home. She has always had the biggest heart for animals, and they mean the world to her.

Because of local corruption and insurance complications, she was forced to pay for cancer treatments upfront, with the promise of reimbursement from her Swiss insurance. But for over two years, that reimbursement has been blocked by red tape, and she’s lost nearly everything.

Now, she’s back in Switzerland trying to continue treatment, but she can’t afford the out-of-pocket costs required for her insurance to remain valid. She’s even considering selling her home — which would mean being separated from her animals, her husband, and the place she thought she’d spend her final years.

I’m trying to raise CHF 50,000 to help cover her medical bills, secure her home, and ease the stress she’s carrying on top of a terminal diagnosis.
