On May 8, 2024, my mother, Carolyn Hyde, was tragically killed by a DUI driver. She was not only my mother, but also the primary caretaker for my 93-year-old grandfather. Since her passing, I am helping manage some of the responsibilities she once handled. One of the most urgent needs we face is paying the property taxes on the home my grandfather and mother shared. Without this support, there is a real risk that my grandfather could lose the place that holds so many memories and has been his safe haven for decades.
Paying these property taxes will give my grandfather the peace of mind that his home is secure, allowing him to continue living there without the fear of losing it. At 93, he deserves to spend his days in comfort and stability, surrounded by the memories of his family and the community he has always served. Your support will not only help us meet this immediate need, but will also honor the legacy of my mother, who dedicated her life to caring for others.
My grandfather has always been my hero. He has spent his life sacrificing for his family and giving back to the community. Your assistance will not just help me, but will help return a lifetime of service to someone who truly deserves it. Thank you for helping us keep his home safe and honor his request to live out his final years at home, just as Grandmother did. Every donation, every share helps us give him that last gift.
in addition to the property taxes, it may be needed for me to travel to North Carolina to address property and estate issues in person. I may require assistance with round trip flights from Montana to North Carolina. Considering the location of the home, I may also need a rental vehicle to get there.
Even if you cannot help financially, please tell my mother and grandfather’s story. There have been so many unexpected expenses from my mother’s sudden death, and do not want anyone to go through the same issues. Thank you again for your support.
