I met Ruth online 3 years ago and since then she's been suffering through multiple corporate restructurings, cutting her hours and chances to escape her queer-unfriendly living situation. She is transgender and completely lacks a support circle or family willing to help, and bouncing between minimum-wage jobs due to ruthless employers isn't going to cut it.

She is extremely distressed and needs as much help as she can get to move somewhere where she can find steady employment.

We have both decided that a good alternative course of action is to gather generous donations that will allow her to get a work visa, a plane ticket to the UK, and a proper home and job.

Ruth has already done as much as she can, but her pay is not adequate enough to allow her to work towards that goal as much as she used to.
