Help My Girl Kick Cancers Butt

Hello, my name is Alicia and this beautiful girl in the photos is my Margot a.k.a Moosey!

Margot is a toy poodle and she was diagnosed with Lymphoma in late August 2024 at the age of 7, thankfully she is insured but only £2,000 worth of treatment was covered which quickly evaporated as she was having weekly chemo treatments.

Since October 2024 I have been paying for her treatments via a credit card and substantially paying it off monthly to have enough to cover each treatment.

At the moment she has her chemo appointments every 3 weeks and each time it can range between £225 and £370 dependant on medication/if sedation is required etc.

My friends told me to start a Go Fund Me early on but I've never been one to rely on other people's generosity as usually I am the generous one, with whatever I can give. Also, I am the one responsible for this journey as I alone made the decision to begin and continue treatment, when other people had told me not to and to just "let her go" due to the impending financial strain they feared it would cause me.

But Moose is a fighter, resilient and strong and so far she's been doing really well with her treatments and I am so proud of her! A hiccup in her treatment schedule has recently come up as she is due to have surgery for Neoplasia on the 15th of April, it was a rushed decision as her vet has described this new condition as a "ticking time bomb". (Update 15/04: Moose's hefty surgery went really well and her surgeon was amazed by how much of a fighter she continues to be, especially while battling this alongside her Lymphoma)

I live alone with four dogs (who I refer to as my kids and they are my absolute world!) Two of which are Margot's and Eugene's puppies from an accidental litter during Covid, my Mam had their other puppy (sorry for the ramble) - and so now that I am near the end of my credit card limit I have to reluctantly ask any other dog lovers out there for help to finish her treatment and relieve me of a portion of the debt I've accrued.

Truth be told, If it wasn't for Moosey I wouldn't be here today, she didn't give up on me in my darkest times and irregardless of what happens I will not give up on her.
