Help my furry pals Circe & Hecate get surgeries!

Donation protected
***UPDATE***
Both kitties have had their surgeries! Hecate's ended up being on June 15th, and Circe's was on July 13th (yesterday). Both surgeries were thankfully not complicated. Circe did have an abscessed tooth out of the two that were extracted. Hecate also had two teeth that were extracted. They are both recovering so well! Both had pain medication afterward, and Hecate's already had her post-op follow-up. Circe's follow-up care is 15 days from yesterday, the 28th of July.

Thank you all again for your help!

Community support covered about 89% of the total actual cost of the surgeries!

The kitties and I are so grateful.

Here is the breakdown of costs, compared to the estimate!
1) Hecate's heart murmur analysis estimate: $904.00 – done on Friday May 5th, actual cost: $904.00
2) Hecate's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2252.77 to $3365.82 – done on June 15th, actual cost: $2055.90
3) Circe's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2490.07 to $3603.12 – done on July 13th, actual cost: $1606.67

The actual total cost ended up being $4566.57.

Thank you all again so very much!

***UPDATE***
As of May 2nd, we have hit our target of raising $4000! Many thanks to all those who donated, shared, liked, and contributed with both monetary support as well as kindness during this time!

A quick update about the upcoming vet appointment/medical schedule for the cats - and where your money is going!

As you might recall:
The total estimates from the vets are as follows - these are approximate costs and not the invoice:
1) Hecate's heart murmur analysis estimate: $904.00 - scheduled for Friday May 5th
2) Hecate's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2252.77 to $3365.82 - tentatively scheduled for July, but going to see if we can move it up to June
3) Circe's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2490.07 to $3603.12 - tentatively scheduled for August, but going to see if we can move it up to July
The total cost ranges from an estimated minimum of $5646.84 to an estimated maximum of $7872.94. I always keep money for their medical needs but this time, even the low range of the estimate blew past my reserves. I didn't want to overextend my community. Asking for $4,000 was a lot, but my community came through and I will be able to cover the rest myself.

Thanks for paws-ing here!

My name is Shriya and I've had two cats since 2017. They helped me through what was the toughest time of my life. I rescued them once, but they've saved me many times. Circe and Hecate are turning about 9 years old this year. So far, I've managed to cover their costs over the years on my own for the most part. However, this is the first time I've ever created a GoFundMe because sometimes, we need friends and community to step in when things feel a little insurmountable.

So here's my request to all of you to help my witchy, yet gentle, loving babies live a little longer!

Here's the context - and what I've already covered on my own
Hecate and Circe went for a routine check-up, where we discovered Hecate had some eye issues. I have already covered the cost of this check-up, as well as her meds for conjunctivitis, as well as the cost of a subsequent check-up for Circe which involved some not-your-usual bloodwork! (These appointments cost $1077.41, which I have paid already and for which I am not asking for support.)

Here's the issue - unanticipated, costly health concerns were discovered by vets:
The wonderful vets at Bickford Park Animal Hospital (who have saved Circe's life before), discovered that Hecate has a heart murmur, and that both cats are overdue for dental cleaning and extraction. Without these extractions and cleaning, they risk several more infections (bacterial or viral, which can spread through their bodies), risk losing more teeth, and risk a far shorter lifespan than they deserve.

They are also in pain, and that honestly breaks my heart.

Teeth and oral health are crucial for overall health - for people and for animals.

Hecate's heart analysis has to be done first before dental surgery to ensure she can be anaesthetized; it's scheduled for May 5th. Depending on the results, she may need additional meds (which I'm not asking for support with here.)

I am aiming to schedule the surgeries in July.

The total estimates from the vets are as follows - these are approximate costs and not the invoice:
1) Hecate's heart murmur analysis estimate: $904.00
2) Hecate's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2252.77 to $3365.82
3) Circe's dental cleaning and surgery estimate: $2490.07 to $3603.12
The total cost ranges from an estimated minimum of $5646.84 to an estimated maximum of $7872.94.

Please note: I hope to reach a goal amount that is *less* than even the *minimum* estimate. This is because I do my very best to have a floating account to care for both my pets; it was extremely bad luck that they are both in need of surgeries at the same time, that an eye infection occurred, and that one of them has a heart murmur that needs further analysis.

Whatever you can spare, please know that I deeply value your support.

Please also share this GoFundMe with pet lovers and cat lovers alike.

Thanks,

Shriya
