My friends cat, adopted from a shelter, has always brought joy and comfort to their loving home. Recently, while moving into a new apartment, my friend was setting up the television when their cat jumped onto it. The television fell, breaking the cat’s leg, which required extensive surgery. It was a sudden accident that left both the cat and my friend in distress, facing a difficult road to recovery.

The owners are hard working immigrants who are struggling to make ends meet, but they used what limited funds they had to ensure their beloved pet received the surgery needed to fix the broken leg. They are going without their own needs to make sure the cat is out of pain and healing, showing incredible dedication and love. This fundraiser aims to help cover the cat’s medical bills, so my frind can focus on the cat’s recovery without sacrificing their own well-being.

In this fractured time in the United States, now more than ever we need compassion for those who are in need of help—especially those who help some of the most vulnerable, like pets. Whatever anyone can give to help ensure this cat heals quickly and without pain, and to support those who give of themselves, would be greatly appreciated. All funds will go towards the cat’s medical bills.
