Help my friends Mark and Marilyn

I have never used this platform, so excuse me if I error in any way. I would also appreciate your suggestions to make my effort more effective.

Many of my friends are experiencing budget constraints from higher costs across the board. Many of my friends are stretching their savings and earned government benefits to their limits. We hope that we can cover future expenses.

Two of my friends are experiencing hardship, frustration and fear right now. I am writing you to help me help my friends Mark and Marilyn who have encountered setbacks from health emergencies and are now unable to reach government agencies that could help them because of recent cutbacks in funds and personnel.

Mark, a friend of over 45 years, worked until he recently experienced multiple severe heart attacks. He worked through previous heart attacks. Marilyn, his partner, has had health problems. She took a fall and has been hospitalized since that fall. Their billings for health care have overwhelmed their means.

Mark has been stressed with bills and their health issues. Unable to reach government agencies, feeling for his partner and now physically challenged, my friend tried to take his life three weeks ago and spent two weeks in the hospital.

I am trying to help Mark through telephone conversations and have sent him “aid”. But I cannot meet his financial obligations on my own. Mark will lose their apartment May 1, 2025.

I have turned to GoFundMe to help him through this time until he can find (reach) local and federal agencies for help.

If I have helped you in the past, if you now have a few spare dollars, I would appreciate it if you would help two of my friends now. Any donation will be sent immediately to Mark. If the amount is not great, at least the gesture could be significant to their mental health.

Fight back against the cutbacks that are effecting American citizens. Fight back about cuts in staffing of medicare and cuts to state programs. Help your fellow American citizens that are running into devastating difficulties now.
