Help my friends in Germany recover from disaster

Please help me help my dear friends. I've known D and H since 1980 and they recently lost their home and everything in it to the disastrous flooding in Germany last week. The town where they live was covered by both ABC and National Public Radio due to the complete devastation. D and H built their home with care and love 40 years ago and they retired several years ago. They have now lost everything - everything they had accumulated in a lifetime together. Insurance will only cover a fraction of the cost of the building itself but nothing inside. Please help me show them that we in the USA care about them. Please help me give to them what I know they would give to me, were our fates reversed. They have spent so many years giving to me, to their families, friends, church and community. Let's show them that they matter and that they are loved.
