The shock and heartbreak were overwhelming, not only for her but for everyone who cares about them. Her husband is the only family she has in this country, and his sudden detention has left her and their family in a desperate situation. She has been unable to find work and has resorted to selling her personal belongings just to afford food. The videos of his arrest were devastating to watch—people around him tried to defend him and pleaded with the officers to let him go, but their voices went unheard. The area where he was working isn’t open to the public, and it was a selfish act by someone who called ICE that led to his arrest.

Now, my friend is facing this crisis alone, struggling to keep her family together and provide for their basic needs. The funds raised here will go directly toward paying the bail that ICE is requesting, so her husband can return home and support his family.
