Valerie had to have emergency surgury to have a severly infected Gall Bladder removed. I am happy to say she's home and doing much better but she's now dealing with the bills.
She had been laid off from a good paying job several year ago and has been struggling to find a full time poisition with health benefits. When this happened she did not have health coverage! So the bills are all hers! She has spoken with the hospital, doctors, etc and they have decreased their original bills, but there just isn't enough income in her house to cover them. Her husband is disabled and although she's worked many short term contract jobs she has not been able to get health insurance.
