Hi, my name is Kellynsky (Kelly), and although it doesn't come easily to me, I’m reaching out for help.

Recently, my mom’s home, the place where we’ve built so many memories, was severely damaged after the river near our house rose higher than it has in over 50 years. The floodwaters completely washed away the entire backside of our house in Mérida, Venezuela, on June 24, 2025.

We lost avocado, banana, and tangerine trees that had been growing there for years. More importantly, our house (our casita) is now left dangerously close to the edge. As you can see in the photos, it wasn’t originally built right by the river. But nature can be incredibly unpredictable.

Now, we're doing everything we can to save what's left. We urgently need to reinforce the foundation of the house and build a retaining wall to prevent further collapse. Unfortunately, the cost of this kind of structural work is very high, and it’s more than we can afford on our own.

If it could be possible for you to contribute anything — no matter how small — it would mean the world to us. Every donation will go directly toward materials, labor, and securing the land so our home can be safe again.

Nuestra casa quedó al borde del colapso — necesitamos tu ayuda

Hola, mi nombre es Kellynsky (Kelly), y aunque no me resulta fácil, hoy vengo a pedir ayuda.

Recientemente, la casa de mi mamá, el lugar donde hemos construido tantas memorias, fue fuertemente dañada después de que el río cercano creciera como no lo había hecho en unos 50 años. Las fuertes aguas se llevaron por completo nuestro patio y la parte trasera de la casa en Mérida, Venezuela, el pasado 24 de Junio.

Árboles de aguacate, banano y mandarina que habían crecido allí por años se perdieron. Y lo que es más grave: nuestra casita ahora está peligrosamente al borde de un precipicio. Como pueden ver en las fotos, no fue construida originalmente cerca del río, pero la naturaleza puede ser increíblemente impredecible.

Ahora estamos haciendo todo lo posible para salvar lo que queda. Necesitamos con urgencia reforzar los cimientos de la casa y construir un muro de contención para evitar que se derrumbe. Lamentablemente, el costo de este tipo de obra estructural es muy alto, y está fuera de nuestro alcance económico.

Si pudieran contribuir, aunque sea con un poco, no importa la cantidad, significaría muchísimo para nosotros. Cada donación irá directamente a la compra de materiales, la mano de obra y la estabilización del terreno, para que nuestro hogar vuelva a ser un lugar seguro.
