Hello everyone! My name is Santiago Rodriguez, I am 23 years old, an Information Engineering student at the Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC), and I work in the IT department for El Sistema in Caracas, Venezuela. Today I come to you to ask for support for the biggest dream I've ever had as a TCG player.

I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! since I was 6 years old, but due to economic difficulties, I never had the opportunity to play the physical format. All my experience was based on the digital format and other TCGs like Hearthstone and Duel Links. It wasn't until last year that I was finally able to afford my first physical deck and join the local tables here in Caracas.

To my surprise, my adaptation was incredibly fast, and the results came immediately. In less than a year of playing physically, I have achieved:

Rookie of the Year: In the competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! Caracas ranking (@yugioh_caracas).

Top 1 at the OTS Championship: At Gamehalla Hobbies, which granted me my official invite to the South American World Championship Qualifier (WCSQ) to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, this June 19th to 21st. (Deck Profile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOc9nvapJ1A).

Having the skill level and the invitation to represent not only my community but also Venezuela in São Paulo is an incredible honor. However, I face a huge obstacle: the financial factor.

Currently, everything I earn from my job goes towards paying for my university studies and helping out at home, making it materially impossible for me to afford the airfare and accommodation in São Paulo for the tournament on my own.

How will the funds be used?

I have put together a realistic budget. My goal is to raise $1,200 USD, which will go entirely towards:

✈️ Round-trip flights (Caracas - São Paulo): Copa Airlines currently quotes the round trip at $700 USD.

️ Basic accommodation: (Hotel/Airbnb/Motel) for 4 nights .

Food and local transportation: During the 5 days of the trip.

Any contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to my goal of being able to compete at an international level and proving that hard work and perseverance pay off. Tener el nivel y la invitación para representar no solo a mi comunidad sino también a Venezuela en Sau Paulo es un honor increíble. Sin embargo, me enfrento a un obstáculo: el factor económico.

Actualmente, todo lo que gano en mi trabajo está destinado a pagar mis estudios universitarios y ayudar en casa, por lo que me es materialmente imposible costear por mi cuenta el pasaje aéreo y la estadía en São Paulo para el torneo.

¿Cómo se usarán los fondos? He armado un presupuesto realista. Mi meta es recaudar $1,200 USD, los cuales serán destinados íntegramente a:

• ✈️ Vuelos ida y vuelta: (Caracas - São Paulo) Actualmente Copas Airlines cotiza el viaje ida y vuelto en $700USD.
