Help My Friend Recover After Terrifying Accident
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for support for someone very dear to me, my friend for over 38 years.
After too much time apart, my close friend is finally reunited with her children and is helping to care for her two young grandchildren — something that has brought her so much joy and meaning. Her daughter had recently traveled all the way to California to bring her mom back to her new home in Idaho. They planned to road trip together, towing a storage trailer filled with my friend’s belongings.
But as life is, her daughter had to return to work and flew back early. My friend stayed behind to finish packing and then embark on the long drive alone — with all of her possessions in tow.
And here’s what happened:
While making that solo journey, a semi-truck struck her vehicle and dragged the truck and trailer 500 feet across the highway. Incredibly, she survived — without major injuries. It’s nothing short of a miracle. Just as miraculous: her daughter had gone ahead of her and wasn’t in the truck when the accident happened. I thank God every day that both of them are still with us.
But the accident has left them devastated in other ways. The truck — which was under a lease — and the storage trailer were impounded. Everything my friend owned was inside and she lost all of it.
More urgently, her daughter is now left without a vehicle. No vehicle between the two of them. With two young children to care for and a job to get to, transportation is absolutely critical.
My friend’s only wish right now is to help her daughter get back on the road. That’s why I’m creating this GoFundMe: to help this amazing, resilient woman the ability to support her family as I know it’s of upmost importance to her.
If you’re able to donate, anything at all helps. And if you can’t give, just sharing this post means the world.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing beside this family, who are very dear to my heart, during this difficult patch.
With gratitude,
