Hi, my name is Kerri and I have a good friend in Africa who desperately wants to lift himself and his family out of poverty.

They are facing getting kicked out to the street as rent is overdue and work is very scarce where he lives.

There was an attack on a nearby village and around 170 people were killed.

I helped at first with rent and medicine but his mom is sick and if rent is not paid they will have nowhere to go!

Their government has no support for it's citizens and he has tried before and failed to be able to go and find work! It's too difficult to plan as hunger and rising prices means it's hard to survive. The country is now in a crisis and a lot of people need help!

He is trying to support his mom who has failing health and a younger sister but they go to bed hungry often. If he can pay rent first and then start a plan to try and get to another country for a job it's his dream!

He also in the past supported friends who went overseas but have not even once given him any payment back from that generosity.

For food and rent it would be a helpful start, then medication and potentially another plan for a better life!
