My friend is someone who has always gone out of her way to help others, even while facing her own challenges. She is disabled and relies on SSDI, which makes it difficult to cover unexpected expenses. Right now, she is facing an incredibly tough situation: her car has broken down, and the cost to repair it is more than the car is worth. On top of that, she has to move out of her current place by the end of the month, but she is still waiting for affordable housing and is nowhere near the top of the list.

Having reliable transportation is essential for her to get to medical appointments, run errands, and stay connected to her support network. Without a car, her independence and safety are at risk. The stress of needing to move so quickly, without the resources to do so, has made things even harder.
