This year, our friend Joshua, an aspiring Pharmacist, had his life turned upside down after his parents discovered he was gay, outed by a close family member. As a result, he was pulled out of university in the UK, ending his life-long dream career and putting an end to the freedom he had worked hard to build. Unfortunately, these circumstances have left him unable to continue his studies due his parents cutting off funds. He is stuck in a homophobic community in Nigeria, stripped of his autonomy and forced out of his sexuality. He should not have to choose between continuing his studies, his safety or being true to himself. Joshua successfully completed one year of MPharm and hoped to graduate in 2029 but he may not be able to do so without your help. We just want to bring our friend back to safety where he can be surrounded by the love and care of his friends and peers, continue his studies and live proudly and authentically as a queer individual.
