Help My Friend in Pakistan Restore his Village

Hi Everyone,

My name is Eva, and I am writing on behalf of my close friend, Daniyal Khan, who recently lost his home due to the floods happening in Pakistan.

As many of you may know, I spent this past summer in Pakistan visiting Daniyal and his family in their hometown of Bubur. Their home was incredibly beautiful, and the village of Bubur has the kindest, most hospitable people I have ever met. They welcomed me into their family with so much love and care.

I was absolutely heartbroken to learn that the floods in Pakistan had completely destroyed Daniyal’s home and village. So many people in Bubur have lost all their belongings, crops, and even loved ones. Many other villages in Northern Pakistan have been badly damaged as well.

Over ⅓ of Pakistan is now submerged under water. This has drastically ruined the country’s infrastructure and displaced over 33 million people. Thousands have been killed and injured, and many people are still missing.

My friend Daniyal writes, “the people of Buber District are requesting your support in raising donations for flood relief.”

Specifically, these funds will supply the following:

* food

* medical supplies

* clothing

* tents

* clean up and restoration

It is important to note that this region in Pakistan often does not recieve international humanitarian relief, which is why the people of Bubur are especially in need of help. 100% of the funds from this campaign will be directed to local leaders, such as my friend Tufail Ahmad, who will best allocate these donations to their community.
