My best friend Tatiana is an international student in Canada is facing a terrifying financial situation due to the economic problems that her country is currently facing.  As she is unable to pay the tuition at the moment, she might be deported back to her homeland. That would not only be detrimental to her future but also her overall mental health state. 
As someone who is also a foreigner in Canada, I know exactly what she is going through and that is why  I want to raise money for so that she can peacefully complete her bachelor's degree at Bishop's University. 
She has 11 courses to complete by the end of April 2020 which means she would need nearly $15,000 to cover her tuition this semester and nearly $12,000 to pay for the next semester. 
She was in Canada for the entire period of her bachelor's degree and it would be sad to watch her leave if she can't afford to pay for school because she would have to start all over again. 
 Lastly, I also want to emphasize that she has been working full time to cover the remaining tuition fees left from the previous semester. Moreover, she is continuing to work at the moment and is taking 6 classes at the same time. 
This campaign to me is not just about my friend but an opportunity to raise awareness about one of the biggest issues international students might face as they are trying to pursue their higher education degree. Unfortunately, according to the law, international students are not eligible for any loans, scholarships or bursaries.
