Hello All!

My amazing Friend Shanna is a recent amputee in the hospital! She has a rare type of diabetes called type Mody, which is completely unheard of in Canada and is local to UK! As a result it has been difficult to find her proper treatment local to our region of ontario. Unfortunately due to income she is not able to travel to receive treatmet. And has now recently lost her right leg and will loose her left leg within the next year. We were fortunate to save it in recent weeks. We are trying to raise money for her to safely return to her same home. Her home is not accessible and as a result she requires several things for her to return home safely. i am asking everyone to dig deep into your hearts and think about the real practical barriers she is now facing. I have listed the items below that we are trying to fundraiser for and the cost brake down. Some of these items are needed on a short term basis where as others like the commode and self cleaning items will be needed on a long term basis while she awaits for an accessible unit to become available as she can no longer access her bathroom.

Commode -$1100 multiple years required in rental

Wheelchair - $200 short term needed only

Partial bed rail -$100 one time purchase needed

Self cleansing body wash - $800 long term purchases required

Below the knee amputation prosthetic -$10,000
