I am helping my friend share her story as she faces a difficult time caring for her beloved cat, Toby. Eight years ago, she and her husband rescued Toby after finding him injured in their backyard. With love and dedication, they nursed him back to health, but Toby was left with a condition that prevents him from emptying his bladder on his own. Since then, he has needed manual bladder expression at least twice a day to stay healthy.

After her husband passed away, my friend has been doing her best to care for Toby by herself. Unfortunately, she has arthritis, and Toby’s resistance during the process makes it difficult and sometimes unsafe for her to manage on her own. She has been paying a veterinary technician to help, and the costs are quickly adding up. As a retiree, these expenses are becoming unsustainable, but her commitment to Toby is unwavering. She does not want to abandon him and is determined to find a way to keep him safe and comfortable.

We are seeking donations to help cover the cost of daily vet tech visits, gas for trips to the vet, and possibly support from a volunteer who can assist with Toby’s care.
