Hi, I’m Lyle and I am raising money for one of my best friends. For their safety, we will be keeping their identity anonymous. Our goal is to have their funds raised by the second week of December to continue receiving treatment as soon as possible.
Here is a statement, from them, on what the funds will be used for:
I have Cervical Cranial Instability at the cervical junction, along with a cyst pressing on my jugular vein and Eagle Syndrome on both sides, all of which are caused by my neck being displaced for so long. I also have a displaced hyoid bone (from my stroke or prolonged neck displacement), a dislocated esophagus (related to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), enlarged cervical lymph nodes (biopsy pending), and thyroid nodules.
I’m swollen, in pain, and struggling to breathe because of everything happening in my neck and throat. Getting my stabilizer will help ease this pressure, create more room in my airway, and stabilize my cervical junction to keep my skeletal structure intact. It will support my spine and help the other fragile and harmful conditions in my neck and throat stay as stable as possible until I have the means and health to address them surgically.
Because I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hypermobile type), POTS, and MCAS, surgery is especially complicated for me. Having the least invasive options first ensures my long-term safety and health until I’m strong enough for potential spinal fusion or other surgeries.
What will truly change my life, is getting a new stabilizer, paying off medical bills, and scheduling a new appointment to confirm the current state of my cervical junction are all vital steps for me to move forward.
How Funds Will Be Used
• New neck stabilizer: to protect my airway, spine, and blood flow
• Medical bills: to resume essential therapies and follow-up appointments
• Specialist visit: to confirm the current condition of my cervical spine and neck structures
