Help my foot not fall off
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bryttany. I'm a 42-year-old mother of two from NWGA. My husband lost his job in March, and we lost our health insurance. Thankfully, the job he'd previously worked at for 10 years wanted him back. The only downfall to this is the 90-day waiting period on the insurance start date. I have several conditions, such as diabetes and mental health, that I have not been able to afford to get my medication for, such as my CGM that checks my sugar.
I fell Friday evening while getting up from sitting on the floor. I heard the bone pop and knew I had done it this time. We spent Friday evening until 5 a.m. Saturday morning in the ER. I did break my foot with what is called a Jones Fracture. I had to wait until today to make an appointment with ortho, and as soon as I said, "no insurance," the breath she took in through her teeth let me know that I'm about to have to walk it out like it's 1782, and I was correct.
If there is any way that you could please donate to help me not have a deformed foot, it would be greatly appreciated. Or if we can just get enough to buy a hacksaw, I'll live stream my husband performing an amputation so that I don't have a banana foot that tells me when it's going to rain. Thank you for your time and consideration in the cast lottery.
