On Monday, September 14, 2020 my fixer and I were on the way to Jalalabad when his car suddenly lost control, spinning and turning on the dangerous mountain road, eventually crashing into the mountainside.

My fixer (I'm intentionally not mentioning his name to protect his identity) and I are largely okay, but several things were completely destroyed, including his car. 
He has worked with journalists across Afghanistan, always using his car - so it's part of his livelihood. 
I've given him some money to help him after the crash, but that's of course not enough. 

I'm setting up this fundraiser in hopes that the money raised could help him purchase a new vehicle. 
I'm hoping to raise $3,500 (£3000), which would go straight to him (bank and ATM fees will be subtracted) and he will then pick his new car.
