STORY
Melchizedek began as a vision rooted in grief, love, and the desire to rewrite what cannot be undone. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, that vision is now a completed film.
Now, we’re stepping into the next chapter: bringing Melchizedek to audiences around the world through film festivals.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
If you’ve seen the film, you know this isn’t just a story, it’s an experience.
Melchizedek is a psychological thriller grounded in African spirituality, following Mayaki as she risks everything to bring her brother back from the dead, only to find herself trapped in a cycle of loss she cannot control.
At its core, it’s about grief, obsession, and the cost of refusing to let go. This is the most personal story I’ve ever told, and now it deserves a life beyond a single screening.
WHY FILM FESTIVALS MATTER
Film festivals are how independent films like Melchizedek find their audience and their future. They create opportunities to:
- Share this story with wider audiences
- Connect with industry professionals
- Open doors for distribution and future projects
- Position Melchizedek as a bold, culturally rooted genre film
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT GOES TOWARD
Submitting to festivals isn’t free, and doing it right requires intention. Your support will directly help cover:
- Festival submission fees (local + international)
- Marketing materials (press kits, posters, screeners)
- Distribution and outreach
- Travel (if selected for screenings)
Every contribution helps move this film one step further into the world.
WHY THIS STORY MATTERS
Melchizedek was born from a place of deep reflection; on grief, control, and the human desire for one more chance. It’s for anyone who has ever wished they could go back… and change something. But more than that, it’s about what happens when we can’t.
This film represents not just my journey as a filmmaker, but a commitment to telling bold, emotionally rich, culturally grounded stories that challenge and stay with you.
JOIN THE NEXT CHAPTER
If this film moved you, supported you, or stayed with you in any way, I invite you to be part of what comes next. This journey didn’t start alone, and I don’t want it to continue alone.
Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this campaign, means everything. Let’s take Melchizedek beyond this moment.
With gratitude,
