A Little About Chantel:

One thing about Chan, she's deeply driven to be the most evolved version of herself while inspiring others to do the same. The SASsy Squad helps her do that with a full heart! She often talks about how much this community has blossomed from being shy and reserved to confident and vibrant with such grace. It opened my eyes to the importance of judgment-free and welcoming spaces. These safe spaces change lives; which is one of Chantel's core values. What a beautiful alignment, right?!

Since she was a kid, Chan has dreamed of cultivating communities while experiencing an unwavering passion for her work. Gratefully, this is her current reality, but it wasn't always. Chan has had several jobs in her life that just didn't fit her. She's felt stifled and stuck in other positions and couldn't stand to work for companies that didn’t align with her core values.

As a child, Chan watched her Mom start businesses and her Dad maintain a steady career in a field he enjoyed. So she strived to create her version of that! DivaDance is one way she's manifested her career dreams into reality! She's been with the company for five years now and I can tell she's happy and fulfilled. Now it's time for her to spread her wings, and become a true entrepreneur working in a community she authentically adores!

DivaDance began franchising in 2015 and is committed to inspiring confidence and building community. DivaDance has an unwavering commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and creating a safe space for all adults. They aim to have a lot of fun doing so by offering all levels of choreography in classes, parties, and programs. The website says “it’s a sexy, sweaty, stress-free pop-music dance party!”

In 2018 DivaDance Atlanta was born and offered weekly classes in the Sandy Springs area. Unfortunately, COVID-19 caused DivaDance ATL to close down. The franchise was returned to DivaDance HeadQuarters where it was managed virtually by the HQ team. At that time, DivaDance ATL only offered parties.

In September 2021, Chantel and DivaDance CEO, Jami, had a conversation that lead to Chantel accepting the role of General Manager for the franchise. The team decided to relaunch as DivaDance Sandy Springs with Chantel as the sole employee on-site and began their first official week of classes on January 3rd, 2022.

Since then, DivaDance SAS has grown from 0 members to over 100, 3 classes a week (all taught and hosted by Chantel for the first month of operation) to 9 classes per week, and has hosted many successful programs, parties, open houses and community events all under Chantel's management. They now have 11 rockstar staff members who are all dedicated to expanding the community far and wide! If Chantel has accomplished this as a part-time employee just IMAGINE what she will do as a full-time business owner!!
