Help My Father Fight for His Life After a Devastating Accident

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I'm reaching out in the most difficult moment of our lives. My father was recently the victim of a horrific accident — he was run over by a high-speed motorcycle while walking, and is now fighting for his life in the ICU in critical condition.

He lives in Venezuela, where the public healthcare system has collapsed. With no viable public option, we had no choice but to admit him into a private clinic where every treatment, every surgery, and every day in the ICU must be paid for out of pocket.

So far, we’ve managed to cover the initial emergency surgeries, but his battle is far from over. He has suffered:

    •    A compound fracture in one leg

    •    A shattered knee in the other

    •    Three broken ribs that punctured his lung

    •    Internal bleeding requiring multiple blood transfusions

    •    A fractured vertebrae

He still needs several more surgeries and intensive treatment to survive and recover. The medical costs are astronomical, and we simply can’t do this alone.

Ayúdanos a Salvar la Vida de Mi Papá Tras un Terrible Accidente

Queridos amigos, familiares y personas de buen corazón,

Hoy recurro a ustedes en el momento más difícil de nuestras vidas. Mi papá fue víctima de un accidente terrible — fue atropellado por una moto a alta velocidad mientras caminaba, y ahora está luchando por su vida en cuidados intensivos en condición crítica.

Él vive en Venezuela, un país donde lamentablemente el sistema de salud pública está colapsado. No tuvimos otra opción que ingresarlo en una clínica privada, donde cada tratamiento, cada cirugía y cada día en terapia intensiva debe ser pagado en su totalidad.

Hasta ahora hemos logrado cubrir las primeras cirugías de emergencia, pero su lucha aún no termina. Mi papá ha sufrido:

    •    Una fractura expuesta en una pierna

    •    La rodilla destrozada en la otra pierna

    •    Tres costillas rotas que perforaron un pulmón

    •    Sangrado interno que requiere múltiples transfusiones de sangre

    •    Una vértebra fracturada

Todavía necesita varias cirugías más y tratamiento intensivo para sobrevivir y recuperarse. Los costos médicos son inmensos y, sinceramente, ya no podemos con todo esto solos.
