My name is Christopher Vazquez. I am currently a college student, and I am supporting myself financially. In 2016, my father was taken from the US and dropped off in Mexico with nothing but his clothes. Ever since then, it has been just my mother with three children to feed, including me. My father had to figure out how to deal with helping feed his children from a country away, and also live on his own. I have not seen my father in years, but he has never failed to give me advice anytime I needed it and help raise the man I am today.

About three months ago, my father became extremely sick, which left him in the hospital for multiple days, and he hasn't received support from the state or family. He has not been able to work consistently and is in danger of becoming homeless because the hospital bills are consistently rising. I have always tried my best to balance school, work, and family, but with these new challenges, I find myself failing to keep up, and I am worried about never seeing my father again because of things outside my control. My father has always been my protector, my rock, my role model, and my hope for the future.

I have always struggled asking for help, but I love my father more than I care about my pride. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated. I plan to use any money raised here to help my father pay for medical expenses (like medicine, X-rays, and doctors' appointments) and cover a few months of rent so he is able to get back on his feet.
