Help my father on his ALS journey

Hi I am Lisa Ortega. Some of you may already know last year our family was given the devastating news that my Father Richard Harwood was diagnosed with ALS and renal cancer. This progressive disease continues to be debilitating as he can barely use hands and requires bipap frequently to aid his breathing. We’ve been unable to get life insurance due to the diagnosis. As medical bills pile up and care needs are increasing we want to honor his wishes to remain at home for the remainder of his life. We are asking for donations toward his medical care and final arrangements. No donation is too small we greatly appreciate any assistance you can give.

He did not want others to know he is ill, as he’s always taken care of us and been so independent. My mother’s coworkers have been wonderful, giving her time off to be with him. They have been married for 44 years, and having her at home as much as possible is his greatest wish during this time. Thank you for helping my family.
