Hope Across Borders- Help My Dad Walk Again.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Katelynd, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart on behalf of my dad, a man who was once the strongest, happiest, most full-of-life person you could ever meet.

He was always on the move, helping others, and lifting up everyone around him. His spirit lit up every room, and his strength was something we all leaned on. He lived for time with friends and family.

But a few months ago, everything changed.

My dad was diagnosed with spinal disc degeneration and was in unbearable pain. He had major cervical spine surgery, hoping for relief and a path back to the life he loved.
He is thousands of miles away in a country that has limited resources and is completely bed bound, unable to stand, walk, or do anything for himself.
Since being confined to a bed he has developed a severe stage four pressure wound that’s deep, painful, and dangerous. It requires intensive daily cleaning, specialist care, and constant monitoring.
This wound has delayed his second spinal surgery “the surgery that could give him a real chance to walk again”.

My dad is trapped. His body is failing him. His independence is gone. The once vibrant, joyful man I know is now fighting not just for his physical recovery, but for his mental and emotional survival.

He still gives us a thumbs-up when he can. He still tries to smile through the pain. But I see it in his eyes — the sadness, the fear, the exhaustion. This experience has been heartbreaking for all of us, but especially for him. The man who once carried everyone else now needs to be carried and we’re doing everything we can.

But we can’t do it alone.

We Need Help With -
Urgent wound care and medical supplies
In-home nursing support and daily medical attention.
Physical therapy, preparing for the second spinal surgery- his best and only chance to regain mobility and dignity.
Help with hospital stays, treatments, equipment, supplies, medications, and transportation.

How You Can Help -
If you can, please consider donating even a small amount helps. Every dollar brings us closer to healing his body, protecting his spirit, and giving him a chance at walking again. If you’re not in a position to give, please help by sharing this with others who might.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. For reading, for caring, and for standing with my dad.

With love and gratitude,
Katelynd
