Help my father for his Cardiac Bypass Surgery

Hi all,

I am raising this fundraiser campaign for my dad as we need support for his cardiac bypass surgery. Our family is in shock and mentally disturbed by this tragic event.

On September 14th, 2022 my dad arrived in Canada to see his 1st grandson who is 9 months old. Everything was going happily and as usual and he was enjoying his time with our family's 1st grandson. On September 15th, 2022 he collapsed suddenly at 3:30 PM EST and had troubled breathing. We called 911 and EMS arrived on the scene. They performed CPR and took him to the nearest hospital which was Victoria Hospital at London Health Sciences. They admitted him to CCTC (Critical Care Trauma Unit) which is like an ICU and started treating him. But the condition was worst and he had two more strokes in CCTC.

After performing treatment his heart was stabilized and doctors performed an angiogram to check his heart condition. The doctors have determined that his 3 artery valves are blocked and they have to perform bypass surgery once he is stable. To treat his heart and stabilize his condition he was on sedation with a ventilator as he was not breathing.

He is still in ICU on a ventilator and awaiting recovery so that the hospital can transfer him to the normal patient ward and analyze his recovery conditions.

We took a visitor health insurance where the maximum occurrence limit was $100,000 CAD and that is already completed. The CCTC/day cost is $4400 and until 10/12 the cost is $150,000 CAD. Since he is a visitor and his insurance limit has already been completed the hospital informed us to place a 50% deposit for the cost of his bypass surgery. If not they won't proceed with the surgery. My dad's health condition is not stable and there are a lot of risks if we transfer him to India for surgery. We haven't received an estimate of how much the surgery is going to cost as it depends on various factors. So we are guessing it will cost anywhere between $250-300K CAD.

We need your help, support, and prayers to cover for his bypass surgery and have a fast recovery. All funds collected within this campaign will be used to cover his medical expenses. If any funds remained after covering his medical expenses the rest will be donated to the hospital cancer research institute.
