My name is Tharun, and I'm raising funds to support my father, who has been courageously battling oral cancer for the past two years.
What began as a minor ulcer quickly turned into a life-threatening diagnosis of advanced oral cancer in mid-2023. Since then, we’ve been on an intense, emotional, and financial rollercoaster, fighting with everything we’ve got
Our Journey So Far:
Over the last 24 months, my father has undergone:
• 15+ chemotherapy sessions, including Keytruda (100 mg) at ~$3,500 per dose
• Multiple rounds of radiation therapy
• A major surgical resection
• Continued metronomic therapy
• Dozens of PET/CT scans, diagnostics, and post-treatment follow-ups
• Now, due to severe skin erosion post-surgery, he requires reconstructive/plastic surgery
Despite partial insurance coverage, we’ve spent over $60,000–$70,000 out of pocket, using personal loans, borrowed credit, and our limited savings.
Monthly medical costs continue to range from $1,000–$1,500.
⚠️ The Cancer Has Returned
Unfortunately, in the past 9 months, the cancer has resurfaced, more aggressive and unpredictable. This recurrence has not only shaken us emotionally but has added new layers of financial and medical urgency.
We’re now preparing for more procedures and therapies, while still carrying the weight of past medical debt.
Why We’re Asking for Help:
We are humbly seeking to raise $60,000 to:
• Repay critical medical debts from past treatments
• Fund upcoming plastic surgery, medications, diagnostics, and therapy
• Ensure my father receives the continued care he needs to survive this fight
From My Heart,
Watching someone you love suffer through cancer once is hard enough. Seeing it return and trying to stay strong through it all is a pain I can’t describe.
My father has shown unbelievable strength and never gave up, and neither will I. But now, we truly need help.
If you can donate, thank you. If not, even sharing this campaign means the world to us.
No gesture is too small. Every bit brings us closer to giving him the care he deserves.
With all my gratitude,
— Tharun
