Hello, my name is Julia Burak, and I’m fundraising for my father’s post-surgery cancer treatment.

My dad has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and doctors say that complex surgery must be performed as soon as possible. The operation will involve removing his pancreas, spleen, and gallbladder - a life-changing procedure that will require lifelong care, including insulin, enzyme therapy, and other vital medications.

My father, Victor Burak, is 64 years old and he lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Life there is already incredibly difficult - the ongoing war puts everyone in constant danger - and now he faces another battle, one for his very life. Despite our strength and optimism, the costs of treatment is far beyond what our family can afford.

My parents already spent a lot on tests and diagnostics, but the actual treatment hasn’t even started yet.

It's not easy for me to reveal this story and ask for help, but my father deserves the chance to live and I have to do everything I can to help.
