I never imagined I would be writing these words, but today, I am reaching out with a plea for help to save my father’s life.

My beloved father, Bumbaru Aurel, has been diagnosed with Cholangiocellular Carcinoma (bile duct cancer) with multiple metastatic tumors in his liver. This is a rare and aggressive cancer, and the clock is ticking. Without urgent treatment, our time with him will be heartbreakingly short.

My father is the heart and soul of our family. He is a devoted father, grandfather and husband, a hard worker, and a man who has always put others before himself. He adores his two nephews and two nieces, and they adore him back—he is their hero, their source of endless love and laughter. We cannot bear the thought of them growing up without him.
