My father was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer following the removal of a 5.2 cm x 2.4 cm tumor on his bladder on December 28th of 2018. He has recently begun his treatment with the Emory Oncology Unit after the biopsy taken from that mass confirmed that it was cancerous. Unfortunately his medical costs have gone up exponentially since the beginning of the year since he is no longer receiving direct benefits from his former job and must now pay almost triple the amount for his medical payments out of his minimal disability check. I am currently paying about 30% total of his bills from my income alongside my own bills, however I am not able to quickly come together with at least $1500 dollars to cover his first round of chemotherapy and radiation that is scheduled to take place on March 18th after having to personally pay for a CT scan on February the 26th that showed that the cancer has now rapidly spread to his right kidney, severely decreasing its functionality, as well as into his lymph nodes. His oncologist says we must act quickly; if we wait to proceed with treatment for much longer, it will be terminal and his chance for remission will be extremely low. If you can find it in your heart to donate even one dollar to help keep my dad alive, I will be eternally grateful. He means the world to me. I want him to beat this cancer and live out what life he has left to live free of this terrible disease's misery.
