On Monday, March 9th, 2026, my father was involved in a sudden accident while working on the farm. He fell off a hay trailer and suffered severe injuries, fracturing the C4 and C5 vertebrae in his neck, with a complete spinal cord fracture. As a result, he is currently paralyzed from the neck down and is facing a long road of medical treatment and recovery. Our family has been by his side every step of the way, but the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming.

This accident has completely changed my father's life. He was always a creative, active, and helpful person—someone who thrived on being able to support others and stay busy. Now, he is unable to do anything for himself, which has taken a significant toll on his mental health as well as his physical well-being. Adjusting to this new reality has been incredibly difficult for him and for all of us who love him.

After his medical care is complete, my father will need 24/7 assistance and support for daily living. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward his living expenses, ongoing therapies, and the specialized care he will require to maintain his quality of life. The funds will also be used for immediate family transportation, as he will be moved to different facilities for recovery, and needs our support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping us provide the best possible care for him as he adjusts to this new reality.
