Hi everyone, I am fundraising for my husband, a victim of a robbery and attempted murder, attacked on October 23, 2019 in Arcadia, CA. We have young children, and they are as shocked as I am because their dad was almost killed, and our lives have changed ever since.

Due to the assault, he sustained serious injuries: dozens of fractures in his skull, neck, collarbone, arms, and hands; his cheekbones split in three; cerebral and visceral hemorrhage.

It's been a year and seven months since the tragic incident, but even now, whenever I close my eyes, I can see my husband's smiling face, how it looked before the incident. The flow of time has stopped for us, since that day. After eight hours of surgery, I passed out on the spot when I saw his broken face and body in the ICU. The damage was terrible, and he is living with serious, incurable disabilities. We have been told by doctors that my husband would die many times during the numerous surgeries. We were also told that the damage to the brain and face are incurable. The nerves in his right eye were damaged to the point that he will never regain vision in that eye. I don't know what will happen to him in the future… I feel so much pain and fear.
Our little children were shocked to see their sweet and cheerful father's face so beat-up. He no longer looks like the same father who used to play with them. Because of the incident, we lost everything, and our lives have been turned upside down. All the hard-earned money was robbed. The assault made him disabled and unable to work, so we, a family of four, had to move into a very small matchbox house. Since the day of the incident, we can't even buy a single toy for our children. Most people probably can't even imagine how much our lives have completely changed, have been destroyed. To this day, we are still in the midst of such pitiful days. It was such a miracle that my husband survived three emergency surgeries due to severe brain damage. With many miracles, I believe God is with me and my family.

He has been severely affected mentally, physically, and emotionally. This traumatic event has left him with PTSD. There are many medical expenses, and the bills keep coming to us. The funds that we receive will be used to pay his medical expenses, his therapy treatment, and the bills that we will have to pay constantly from now on. We want to thank everyone that is donating and that has shown my family massive support through this very traumatic event.
