Well this past year has been a rollercoaster for us! Last year at this time we were preparing for my dad to move to Texas which happened in November, just after Thanksgiving. He made the commute for two months and was able to come back and live temporarily in CA for the past 9 months. Now we are experiencing yet another major life event. He went to the doctor because he was wheezing and had a cough. After an extant they sent him in for a CT scan with contrast and found a mass measuring 6.9 cm ( size of a baseball is what we were told ). After two biopsies that were inconclusive, so they decided to remove it. A 7 hour surgery later and it was not successful. He was diagnosed with Thymic Carcinoma and will need both chemo and radiation to help shrink it . His work is sending him back to Texas, which means another change in medical coverage and he will seeking treatment in Texas.
